With ePages, your online business will take center stage. Thanks to the practical product administration in the back office, you always have an overview of your traded goods and the current inventory.
The product module of your ePages shop system makes all the tools available for arranging an attractive range of products in just a few simple steps:
- Create products
- Set prices
- Determine inventory availability and specify delivery times
- Identify products as "new"
- Add product descriptions and images
- Arrange products into one or multiple categories
Different actions can be performed in a batch process to save time and so that you do not have to edit every product individually.
Depending on your level of technical knowledge, you can write your product descriptions in the WYSIWYG mode ("What you see is what you get") or in HTML. If you wish, you can then also add to your text by using file attachments (e.g. by including operating instructions).
To help Google and other search engines find your products, keywords are specified for every product and each image is provided with an "Alt-Text". A short URL is also created for every product to make it easier for customers and search engines to find goods.
This holds true in online business as well: The first impression counts. Good product images (with many variants) take on a central importance.
With the ePages shop system, the integration of high quality images into the shop is child's play. Using drag & drop, the desired image files can be dragged from the server to the shop administration. Each image is output automatically for different views in the shop:
- List view
- View of product detail page
- Enlarged view of product detail page
- View for products on sale
Additional images can be uploaded for the different views after the fact.
In addition to the regular image views, the creation of slideshows and image galleries is also possible. To do this, simply upload additional images and thus showing your products extensively.
Products are presented in the shop with both a thumbnail view and short description and also with more detailed information and different product views on its own detail page.

Products on sale generate buying incentive. The ePages shop system has a preconfigured category for sales products. Products that are to be offered as sales products are automatically arranged in this category.
In addition, the sales products are loaded in a box element which can be placed, for example, on the right side of the page or in the middle of the home page of the shop. When multiple products are to be sold as sales products, a rotation occurs in specified intervals.
In order to sell products in different colours or sizes or with different patterns and dimensions, one product is created in the shop administration and different attributes are simply assigned to it. The product variations are then displayed either in tables, dropdown menus or image lists.
When different products are offered on sale in a bundle, it creates incentive to buy not only those products but other products which the customer may not have originally had in mind. With the ePages online software, you can create such "Product Bundles" in seconds.
Cross-selling simply means offering other related products to a particular product which the customer may be looking at. The idea behind cross-selling is that additional products or products that go well with the selected product (e.g. shoes and shoe care products) will be seen as an added value by the customer and will thus be put in the shopping basket at the same time.
The activation of the "Product comparison" option allows your customers to compare any of your shop's products with each other. The products are contrasted in a table with all visible attributes. Your customer can select products from this table and place them in the shopping basket or save them to a wish list.
The ePages shop system has an interface through which the shop's products can be easily sold through the auction platform eBay.
In addition to eBay, there are also other product and price comparison portals such as Ciao, Kelkoo or guenstiger.de available to you which can be used to sell products from your shop and thus increase your market presence.
Comparison prices
Use the "Show comparison prices" option to display the old and the new price to make the price reduction clear to visitors. You can specify a text for the comparison price (e.g. "Old price") and determine whether this is shown with a line running through it or not.
Rebates & scaled prices
Price reductions are a central marketing tool in online business as well. With the ePages shop system you have numerous ways to grand product rebates.
You can read more about rebates and scaled prices here.
Customer-specific prices
Individual prices can be specified for individual customers or whole groups of customers. You have the option of setting gross or net prices for specific customers.
Prices change, warehouse data needs to be maintained. When the range of products reaches a certain size, the editing of the data requires a lot of time. You can avoid this by using the Import/Export function of the ePages shop system. It allows you to export the data out of the shop into an Excel table where you can edit it offline. Later, you can simply import this information back into the shop to adopt the changes.
