How ecommerce breathed new life into a business
Bathrooms at Source is a bathroom sales and installation business based in South-West London. Founded in 1998 by family members, the company has evolved with great success. Today, Sarah and Simon are running the business. In an interview, they give us insights into how opening an online shop has taken their success to a new level.

What is at the heart of your business?
Sarah: For every customer we really want to create a special bathroom. I think that with bathrooms the products evolve all the time, so we have to evolve with them. Our mission is obviously to make sure that our clients are aware of everything that is available on the market.
Why did you decide to sell your products online?
Sarah: Our business is based in South-West London where we offer installations and also run our local showroom. We realised that we didn’t really show up on Google and it almost felt like for many people we did not exist. We knew we had to move with the times. That’s why we decided to invest into ecommerce.

Why did you choose to go with ePages?
Sarah: As we were brand new to ecommerce, it did seem like a challenge at the beginning, as we didn’t know how to do it. We chose ePages for the simplicity. ePages gave us the confidence to build up the store, and made us feel like not such a small business anymore.
How did your business change?
Simon: We started out with a standard shop, which we have grown out off in the meantime. Now we switched to a premium shop and currently offer 7,000 products. In addition, we can now ship all over the world.
Sarah: The online shop changed our whole business. Without it, I do not know if we would still be here. Once we started our online shop with ePages our company has grown massively.
Simon: It used to be that people did not hear of us before. Today, we are only a local shop if people come in here. Online we are now in with the ‘big boys’ in the bathroom game. We built our shop from nothing, so I am dead proud of it. We really are ultra-proud of what we have done here.
What do you like about ePages?
Simon: What I really like is that ePages evolves itself. We know ePages updates the site constantly. Furthermore, no matter which devices people are using, the storefront will adjust automatically.

How does the shop affect your daily business?
Sarah: Since the web shop is live, we have noticed that all areas of the business have increased. I think it is because people are now finding us and they are able to look at products. They then choose to come into the showroom and meet us. What is really mad is that they know us as a team even before they come in! Since we have had the online shop it has given us the safety and the security to know that Bathrooms at Source has got a future now.
